Greater Hartford PF Support Group Meeting | Hybrid
Join the Greater Hartford Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group for their October meeting on Tuesday, October 15 at 1:00 pm Eastern Time.
This month's topic is Palliative Care. If the following thoughts have ever crossed your mind, you will want to be sure and attend this special meeting: What is Palliative Care?; Is it the same thing as Hospice?; How much will it cost?; How will I know when I need Palliative Care?
The group will have a special guest speaker, Kimberly Pianka, who will be answering questions. Kim is a nurse with many years of experience. She worked as a CNA and IV technician at Gaylord Specialty Care in Wallingford prior to obtaining her nursing license 14 years ago. Kim also worked for 5 years at Apple Rehab in Plainville before finding her true nursing passion at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care (Now AccentCARE) almost 9 years ago. This past August she moved into a new role as a Hospice Care Consultant at AccentCARE where she found great pride in providing teaching and education to families on what Hospice and Palliative Care is and the benefits they may not have known existed.
This group meets in a hybrid format, meaning there is the option to attend the meeting both in-person and virtually. Please email Mary Preisner at mespreisner@gmail.com for the Zoom meeting information.
The in-person meeting location is:
