In 2018, Dionn Tunis was leading a busy, service-filled life when an X-ray intended to check a kidney issue revealed something unexpected. After years of brushing off “winter bronchitis,” a pulmonologist’s evaluation confirmed Non-Specific Interstitial Pneumonia (NSIP), a form of Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). The diagnosis upended her independence and everyday routines. With support from the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Dionn found education, community, and renewed hope to navigate life with ILD.
