PFF Summit is the world’s largest conference focused on pulmonary fibrosis (PF) and interstitial lung disease (ILD) research and education. Held every other year, it unites the community together as one to learn about this disease from globally recognized experts.

The goal of the Summit is to foster a collaborative environment to improve education and awareness of PF and to identify new approaches to treat, and ultimately cure, this devastating disease. The Summit will feature an innovative continuing medical education (CME) program for health professionals as well as provide sessions for PF patients and caregivers that address their growing educational needs.

Everyone who is interested in learning more about pulmonary fibrosis, and its impact on those affected by the disease, including physicians, researchers, registered nurses allied health professionals, patients, and caregivers.

The PFF will be opening the Call for Abstracts on Monday, June 2, 2025 with a deadline of Friday, August 1, 2025 at 5pm ET. All abstract submissions must be completed via the online platform ProposalCentral . The PFF will accept abstracts in the following categories: Academic, Industry, and Trainee (resident/fellow). This year, the PFF will offer 10 poster awards. Five awards will be given in the Academic category and announced on Thursday evening, November 13, 2025 at the Welcome Reception and Poster Presentation. The top three will receive a cash prize and a travel award, and two honorable mentions will receive a travel award. The winning poster will be asked to give a 15 minute talk highlighting their research during a session at the PFF Summit. This year, the PFF is pleased to announce five NEW awards for trainee posters. The winners of the trainee posters will be given travel awards to cover flight and lodging. The announcement of those awards will be made in September of this year. Abstract guidelines will be made available on ProposalCentral when the application opens. Filming
Filming by companies and organizations at the PFF Summit 2023, including sessions, speakers and attendees, is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.

Media
For the privacy and safety of the patients, providers and presenters attending PFF Summit 2023, media are not permitted to attend any conference session without prior invitation or authorization. Media interested in attending the PFF Summit can submit a request to Dorothy Coyle.

Photography
The PFF Summit 2023 will be photographed, videotaped, and/or recorded in its entirety by staff and third-party vendors. All sessions will be available post-conference via, but not limited to, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and YouTube. All sessions (including breakouts and scheduled networking activities) will be recorded and still images may be captured. Conference video, still photographs, and quotes may be used and/or repurposed in promotional materials for the PFF including but not limited to the websites, print materials, email, and social media.

The PFF will offer full refunds for the following situations:

1) if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID or test positive for COVID-19 within 5 days or less from the scheduled date of travel for the 2025 PFF Summit;

2) other medical contraindication to travel; or

3) an unplanned hospitalization.

The PFF strongly advises against the hosting of investigator meetings immediately before, during, or following the PFF Summit. Many investigators are involved with the PFF Summit as faculty and/or organizers and have cited that participation in these types of meetings during conference week leads to conference fatigue (or pulls them away from their Summit obligations). PFF recommends finding an alternative time to bring together investigators.
