Join us for this installment of the PFF Disease Education Webinar Series. Dr. Anna Gersten will provide a thorough explanation of palliative care, its important role in the pulmonary fibrosis disease journey, and ways that patients and caregivers can benefit from this resource.

Dr. Gersten received her B.A. in Biochemistry from Middlebury College and her M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University Hospital and a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she is currently a fellow in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She has a special interest in interstitial lung disease and a passion to improve the delivery of palliative care to this highly symptomatic patient population. She will join Johns Hopkins as Assistant Professor of Medicine with dual faculty appointments in Pulmonary & Critical Care and Palliative Care in July. Her research focuses on evaluation of healthcare-related quality of life measures over time in addition to patient and provider perceptions of palliative care in the ILD population.
