In celebration of September 2018 Global Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month, Pennsylvania has delegated the week of September 9-September 15 as "Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research and Awareness Week"!  Thank you to Sen. Pat Browne for supporting this profoundly needed effort to support patients and their families living with pulmonary fibrosis!

Speakers:
Fred Woodley:
Our wonderful friend and recipient of a single lung transplant
Fred has lived with IPF and struggled to breathe everyday. In November 2017, Fred received a single lung transplant at Temple Lung Center! He gives back, always with a smile and laughter, to the pulmonary fibrosis community and tells his story of his journey. We are incredibly lucky to know him!

Dr. Doug Corwin:
St. Luke's University Health Network Pulmonologist
Dr. Corwin has been one of our PF Warriors in the uphill trek to raise awareness, support and education patients and their families about this rare lung disease.  He attends our support groups at St. Luke's University Health Network Anderson and Bethlehem campuses! Dr. Corwin also presents at Wescoe Foundation for Pulmonary Fibrosis and Temple Lung Center's annual Information Seminars at Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem, PA.

Sen. Pat Browne:
PA Senator: 16th District since 2005
Championed the passing of PA Senate Resolution delegating the week of Sept. 9-Sept. 15 as "Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research and Awareness Week"! You can see this profoundly important moment for Pennsylvania IPF Patients/Families: https://pasen.wistia.com/medias/25h1hakfpx
