Why I am a Team PFF Event Leader:
Doug was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) in April 2006. He lost his battle with this disease on January 14, 2010—just short of a transplant. Looking to satisfy the desire to raise money for research, as well as raise awareness of this little known disease, we looked to one of Doug’s passions and hobbies: car shows. This desire has blossumed into a passion of our own that has grown into an annual, community event consisting of the car show, 5K run/walk, silent auction, corn hole tournamnet, food stands, raffle, and more!

He was a wonderful, God-fearing man, who loved his family, friends, and community. He lived in Holland, IN all of his life, was employed locally with Holland Dairies (now Prairie Farms) for 35 years, and was also a 35-yr volunteer fire-fighter and first responder. He was an active member in the Holland United Methodist Church and a member of the gospel singing group "A Joyful Noise"
