Charity Trail Day
In 2009, Allan was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis (PF). When we received the diagnosis, we were in disbelief to discover how little was known about this disease that has no cure. During his 6 year battle, Allan wanted to beat all odds and fight so he made sure to eat right and exercised diligently by walking the trails with his rescue Brittany Spaniel. He was a spiritual and positive man and an example to us all when after an exacerbation in March of 2013, he learned to walk again and gain his strength. There was no hurdle that we weren’t willing to try and overcome. Allan drew people to him with his generous heart and sincere interest in them. Allan passed away in 2015 and in his memory, we want to give back!
On Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 10:00am, we will be participating in the Charity Trails Day in Nevers Park. This will be a day to raise PF awareness and a day for our family, friends and community to celebrate Allan or “Grampy” as most knew him.
Charity Trail Day will feature our walk in memory of Allan Bellanger and all proceeds will be sent to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PPF). Donate in memory of Allan and help us celebrate the impact he made on us all.
