My mother, Donna Schwartz, was diagnosed with IPF in the fall of 2010. I had never heard of this disease before so I googled it and what I found was devastating.

By Fall of the following year, my mother was unable to perform the simplest tasks without her oxygen dropping. With the encouragement of Shirley Munoz, I hosted our very first awareness walk in 2011 and my mother was able to attend.

Sadly, my mom took her last labored breath on January 4th, 2012. She was an amazing woman who always gave everything of herself to her family, friends, church and community. This is our 5th annual awareness walk. The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is an amazing organization and I will continue to host this event every year and make sure it is passed onto the next generation.

Join us on September 19th at 8:30am to walk in memory of Donna Schwartz at Crivitz High School located at 400 South Ave in Crivitz, WI.
