My father-in-law, Douglas R. Partenheimer was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in April 2006. He lost his battle with this disease on January 14, 2010—just short of a lung transplant. My father-in-law was a wonderful, God-fearing man, who loved his family, friends, and community. He was a lifelong Holland, Indiana resident; he worked at Holland Dairies (now Prairie Farms) for 35 years, and was also a 35 year volunteer fire-fighter and first responder.

For the past three years, my family has organized a car show—one of our dad’s passions and hobbies. PFF’s mission is to help find a cure for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), advocate for the pulmonary fibrosis promote disease awareness, and provide a compassionate environment for patients and their families.

This year, help us exceed our goal of $10,000 again! You can also follow us on Facebook andTwitter for updates.
