Jersey Mike's Has Wonderful Subs and a Huge Heart for Their Customers

Throughout our lives, I'm sure every one of us has a memory of a special restaurant, store or club that has great meaning, where the owners have gone above and beyond for their customers, treating them with extra kindness and in some cases, like a member of the family.

I know that when I was a kid, my mom and I had a couple businesses that would give us deals on items, or let us pay them when we could, because they knew how we sometimes struggled to make ends meet. They even helped us with job leads and in a few instances, gave us rides when they saw us waiting in bad weather at a bus stop. They knew us by name and cared about us as people, not just another sale at the register.

I heard that the owners at Jersey Mike's Subs have a great reputation of treating their customers with appreciation and respect, too. Recently I found out the story behind Jersey Mike's and their fund raising event for Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. It touched my heart so much on a personal level and I wanted to share it with you.

" When Kathy Petrak of Plainfield began frequenting Jersey Mikes in Naperville, store owner Mark Cross got to know this customer. He learned that the sub sandwiches had special meaning to Kathy, as they were a favorite meal for Kathy and her father before he became gravely ill with Pulmonary Fibrosis. In fact, Jersey Mike's Subs was one of the final meals they shared in the hospital before he passed away," according to their website.

This beautiful story lead to Jersey Mike's joining the fight against Pulmonary Fibrosis, by having a special day at their franchises to raise money.

The event will take place on June 6, 2011 at all Jersey Mike's locations, with 20% of the proceeds going to this most worthy cause. Customers will need to present a coupon at the time of purchase which can be downloaded at the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation website; www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org or at the individual Facebook pages for Jersey Mike's Chicago area stores.

Please support them on June 6, 2011 and you will be sharing something wonderful, plus you get to enjoy delicious sub sandwiches, which are top quality and so yummy

If you work in the Loop, there is a Jersey Mike's at 200 W. Monroe, but here's the link to find all their area locations. http://www.jerseymikes.com/
