To Galveston’s Cheryl Roy, Sissy O’Brien, of Friendswood, is an inspiration.

The ladies met about three months ago in pulmonary rehabilitation, and O’Brien has become a mentor of sorts and a great support to Roy, who currently is awaiting a double-lung transplant.

The Pulmomary Fibrosis Foundation is an Official Charity of the Manchester City Marathon in Manchester, NH being held on Sunday, November 7, 2010. This marks the 4th Annual running of the Manchester City Marathon. The MCM is a challenging Boston Qualifier that takes runners on a scenic trip through the historic mill district of the Granite State's largest city.
