The Alamance Force Volleyball Club held its fifth annual summer camp for area girls on June 23-26, 2008.  AFVC is located in Burlington, NC and is a Junior Olympic Volleyball Program for players in the area.  This year the proceeds from the annual camp were donated to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in memory of William "Ed" Osterman, the father of AFVC Club Director Linda Osterman.

Like many other families we had never heard of Pulmonary Fibrosis and we learned late in the game about the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.  With my dad's passing we wanted to honor his memory and find a way to raise awareness and money for the PF Foundation.  My dad loved sports so utilizing our annual volleyball camp was a natural fit.  Campers not only received volleyball instruction but each player was given a t-shirt that contained the Pulmonary Fibrosis logo.
