Treasures of the South Side Bicycle Tour
The 2nd Annual Treasures of the South Side Tour (T.O.S.S.) is a great family bike ride taking place on Chicago's beautifully revamped south shore bicycle trail and throughout historical parks, Sunday Oct. 4th at 9AM, 31st St. Lot @ LSD and 31st St. At every stop docents will tell you historical facts and stories that you may have never known about Chicago.
Aside from being a fun, informative Sunday morning bike ride the Treasures of the South Side is also a charity ride that supports Pulmonary Fibrosis research. T.O.S.S. is partnered with the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) to help those struggling to do something most of us take for granted, the simple act of breathing. To register for T.O.S.S. contact the PFF at 312.587.9272 Or for more information Click Here!!! Invite friends via Facebook! |

Pulmonary Fibrosis is an illness in which the air sacs of the lungs are gradually replaced by scar tissue. As the disease progresses the scar tissue interferes with the lungs ability to transfer oxygen from the lungs to the bloodstream. Eventually a person with PF will die from heart or respiratory failure. In the U.S. alone more than 200,000 suffer from this disease. Of these, more than 40,000 will die annually until we find a cure. If you should require additional information, please contact me at toddkramer@sbcglobal.net or home phone (847) 759-8210. |
