My wife was diagnosed with IPF in Oct 2005 after a battle of breast cancer, which she beat the cancer. But not the IPF she passed this past January 15,2011 after 17 days in the hospital. She was on 6lilters of oxygen for 2years and a c-pap at nite. She was very active until December 29,2010 when she went into the hospital.

Grace and I were married 50 years on January 7,2011 we celebrated in the hospital with all our family around. We have 4 kids Andy, Bill, Dan, Jennifer and they all live local to my wife and I. We have 9 granchildren: Megan, Drake, Zosia, Shea, Becca ,Gneeve, Gracie, Sean. Then we have 1 great-grandchild Joshua born this past December 31,2010. We lost one grandchild Ciaren in Feburary 9th 2002.

Grace was very active with her grandkids never missing a sporting event or concert. She never missed a basketball or volleyball game. She attened all of her grandkids concerts and plays and sporting events. She was a avid Mr and Mrs Santa Claus collector. She also loved her football pro and college and Notre Dame is her favorite team. She would go with the grandkids and myself to watch the spring games every year.

With her final wishes she asked to be creamated and have her ashes taken to ND. This past April myself and my son Bill and daughter Jennifer and Zosia,Gneeve,Gracie. Went to the spring game and did as she asked. Then this past June 8,2011 would have been her 69th birthday so we took part of her remains and buried them with her mom. We had Mrs Santa and a Notre Dame plaque put for her tombstone and held a small ceremony.

In January we had a memorial for her and she asked that no flowers be given. Instead donate to IPF and Struthers Basketball League. We have sent in a nice donatation in her memory to keep fighting for a cure for IPF.

She is sadly missed by myself and all her kids and grandchildren.

Love and miss you Grace,
Jr
