PFF goes #BlueUp4PF in September!

Since 2012 the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation has encouraged global PF awareness activities by offering support to the PF community to host patient and physician education events, awareness events, and fundraising events during Global Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month. In 2013, PFF Ambassador Diane Reichert established the “Blue-It-Up or Pay-It-Up” social media fundraising and awareness campaign, in which PF community members were encouraged to add a blue streak to their hair or make a donation to the PFF. This initiative expanded greatly in 2014 and continues in memory of her tireless spirit and in honor of all #PFWarriors.

As part of the kick off of Global Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation will host it’s own #BlueUp4PF day on September 9, 2015. PFF staff are invited to “Blue-It-Up” by wearing PFF colors and / or a favorite pair of blue jeans, donning blue streaks in their hair and participate in a group lunch and photo opportunity. In addition, the PFF will invite all staff to “Pay-It-Up” by making a contribution to the PFF Annual Fund. The annual fund drive will run during the month of September.

Global Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month is an advocacy campaign in September with the primary goals of increasing global awareness of pulmonary fibrosis, support disease education for patients, family members, and professionals across the PF community, and by garnering fundraising support for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and its mission to act as the trusted resource for all those who are affected by this disease.
