Teresa Annette Flippen

Teresa Annette Flippen Samuels born March 24, 1961 passed away March 25, 1994 at the age of 33. Teresa was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis when she was 3 months pregnant. Her baby was born at 6 months by casesarean in order to get Teresa on a transplant list. She got a lung transplant on 3-23-91 one day before her 30th birthday. She did very well for the first 2 years and loved every moment with her daughter, Ashley. She began rejection and became very ill. all the while living every day to the fullest. She was very courageous during this time and never once complained. She lost her battle on 3-25-94, one day after her 33rd birthday. Ashley just had her 19th birthday and is so much like Teresa. It's incredible how much like her she is. She was only 3 yrs old when Teresa died, but she talks and moves just like her mother. We miss Teresa daily, but are blessed to have Ashley. Teresa is survived by her husband Carl Samuels and daughter Ashley Samuels a stepson Tim Samuels and stepdaughter Tonia McNeely. Her mother Marcille Flippen and father Eugene Flippen. Her brother Greg Flippen and sisters Martha Hagerman and Sherry Beeson.
